FAQs

Playsets : FAQs

Playground One playsets are made with solid 100% pure center-cut pacific cedar.  Cedar makes for a great play surface as it’s:

  • Soft surface (easy on knees)
  • Resistant to decay and rot.
  • Doesn’t have a tendency to splinter or bow

Peeling, splintering, surface cracks, and knotholes are normal characteristics of wooden play equipment.

Routine staining is recommended (about every 18-24 months). Stain can wear quicker in heavy traffic areas so purchasing a gallon of the stain with the set to touch up helps maintain the quality and look of the wood.

Many playsets can be installed right on grass.  If you feel the existing surface isn’t sufficient, we would recommend our Soft Landing Rubber Mulch, wood mulch pit, or turf. We offer full installation on all surfacing.
