Choosing Accessories for Your Trampoline

If you own a Springfree, stick with Springfree trampoline accessories. Springfree uses flexible composite rods instead of steel springs, and its add-ons follow the same idea. The FlexrHoop is built from the same flexible materials as the trampoline, so kids and adults can practice slam dunks without adding a hard surface to the jumping area. The FlexrStep ladder adjusts to three heights to suit your model and includes a lock that restricts unsupervised jumping. Shifting Wheels slip under the legs so one adult can move the trampoline to mow, and each Ground Anchor Kit holds four anchors tested to roughly 900 N of pull-out force.

North owners have their own trampoline attachments. Recreations Outlet stocks the North Trampoline Ladder, which makes getting up and down easier and safer, and the North Legend Hoop Kit, a complete basketball hoop setup with a rim and net, a backboard, a safety backstop and a soft-touch basketball. For in-ground trampolines, North's in-ground safety nets come in rectangle and circle versions to match the shape of your frame.

Do trampoline accessories fit any trampoline?

No. Compatibility matters, because many trampoline accessories are designed for one brand or frame. The FlexrHoop, FlexrStep, Shifting Wheels and Ground Anchor Kit are made for Springfree trampolines, while the ladder, Legend Hoop Kit and in-ground safety nets are made for North trampolines. Universal-fit add-ons can bring hard edges or metal hardware onto the frame, which is exactly what a Springfree is designed to avoid. Which trampoline accessories improve safety?

Start with a safe way in and out. A ladder like the FlexrStep or the North Trampoline Ladder keeps kids from climbing up the frame, and the FlexrStep's lock restricts unsupervised jumping. Ground anchors keep the trampoline secure and protect it from shifting in strong wind, and North's in-ground safety nets add an enclosure around in-ground models. Pair them with the basics: one jumper at a time, an adult nearby and the ages listed on each product page.

Do I need a ground anchor kit for my trampoline?

If your yard sees strong wind, yes. The Springfree Ground Anchor Kit includes four anchors that work on all Springfree models, each tested to withstand roughly 900 N of pull-out force. Can I add a net to my trampoline?

It depends on the model. For North in-ground trampolines, we offer the North In Ground Safety Net in a rectangle and a circle version to match your frame's shape. Above-ground trampolines usually come with an enclosure designed for that frame, so a replacement net should come from the same manufacturer. If you're not sure what fits, call either showroom with your trampoline's brand and size.

What are fun trampoline accessories for kids?

A basketball hoop is the favorite. How do you move a trampoline to mow the lawn?
